Approval of 12,4 million euros for the "Patradise Mega Yacht Marina" project by the Ministry of Tourism

The Port of Patras Authority (PPA) is pleased to announce the approval of the “Patradise Mega Yacht Marina” project, with a total budget of 12,4 million euros, by the Recovery and Resilience Fund. This is a project of strategic importance, which will upgrade the port basin between the Agios Nikolaos pier and Astigos pier, making the center of the third largest city in Greece a leading destination for yachts in the Mediterranean.

The “Patradise Mega Yacht Marina” was designed with sustainability and functionality in mind, focusing on providing high-standard infrastructure to accommodate 212 large yachts, as well as supporting the tourism and business activities of the area. The project includes the creation of modern facilities, tree planting, photovoltaic systems, upgraded service facilities and integrated “smart” yacht support systems, while promoting green development through the use of innovative and environmentally friendly technologies.

The CEO of OLPA, Mr. Panagiotis G. Anastasopoulos, stated: "The approval of the financing for the "Patradise Mega Yacht Marina" is an important step in the transformation of the port of Patras into a high-level maritime tourism hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. We are proud to invest in the development of the local and national economy, attracting quality tourism and strengthening the extroversion of Patras. Taking into account the dry berth which will soon begin construction at the South Port, Patras will now constitute a very attractive vertically integrated base for the yachting»

The project is expected to start soon, with the aim of completing it within the next two years. OLPA is committed to proceeding with consistency and responsibility, ensuring sustainable development.
