April 02, 2026. The Piraeus Port Authority (PPA S.A.) has proceeded with the reinforcement of the first aid equipment of the Coast Guard - Hellenic Coast Guard, as part of its ongoing contribution to enhancing the safety and protection of human life in port facilities.
In particular, PPA S.A. donated seven portable defibrillators to the Coast Guard - Hellenic Coast Guard, with the aim of further enhancing the operational readiness of its personnel and the immediate response to emergencies.
The defibrillators are intended to be installed in official vehicles and motorcycles of the Coast Guard, so that it is possible to provide immediate first aid to citizens and visitors to port facilities, wherever and whenever the need arises.
This specific initiative is in full alignment with the guidelines of the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy for the modernization and strengthening of First Aid equipment, confirming the will of PPA S.A. to contribute substantially to the upgrading of the means available to the Coast Guard.
As part of the donation, a presentation and practical training of Coast Guard personnel on the correct use of defibrillators and basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures was also carried out, ensuring the effective utilization of the equipment in real emergency conditions.
This new donation follows the recent delivery of six motorcycles to the Coast Guard, within the framework of the broader and long-standing cooperation of PPA S.A. with the Port Authority of the Port of Piraeus, aimed at strengthening its operational capabilities and protecting human life.
PPA S.A. recognizes the critical role played by the Coast Guard - Hellenic Coast Guard in the protection of citizens, the safety of maritime transport and the ensuring the smooth operation of port facilities, and remains firmly committed to the practical support of its work.
